FRP Grating & Walkways Designed for Safe Access in Degrading Environments

Reinforce Technology supplies FRP / GRP grating worldwide available in Moulded and Pultruded configurations across multiple depths, panel sizes, resin systems, and surface finishes. All sourced from ISO 9001 certified manufacturing facilities.
In industrial and infrastructure environments, access systems are exposed to corrosion, moisture, chemicals, and repeated loading.
Over time, traditional steel walkways degrade, increasing slip risk, inspection burden, and long-term maintenance cost.
FRP / GRP grating eliminates these problems at the material level. Corrosion resistance is inherent to the composite structure, not applied as a coating, meaning performance does not degrade as the surface weathers. The result is a walkway system that delivers consistent slip resistance, structural integrity, and safe access over a 50+ year service life with minimal maintenance requirements.

Slip Resistance Is a Lifecycle Issue
Slip resistance is not a one-time specification.
In aggressive environments, coatings wear, corrosion develops, and surface conditions change over time.
FRP / GRP grating is typically selected where inherent surface profiles can support slip resistance requirements, with performance assessed and validated through application-specific specification and testing rather than reliance on applied finishes alone.
Product Type
Two grating types — one complete system
Reinforce Technology supplies both Moulded and Pultruded FRP / GRP grating across all resin systems in standard and fire retardant formulations.
Moulded Grating

One-piece panels with bidirectional equal strength fibreglass roving wound in alternating layers. Load distributes to both bearing and cross bars. Excellent impact resistance. Anti-grip grit surface available.
Depths: 15 / 25 / 30 / 38 / 50mm
Resin: Polyester · Vinyl Ester · Epoxy
FR on Request
Colours: Yellow, Green, Grey, Red, White, Blue + any RAL
Pultruded grating

Parallel load bars with cross rods — more glass than resin. Consistent high-strength mechanical properties along the primary bearing direction. Preferred for heavy-duty load-spanning applications.
Depths: 25 / 38 / 50mm
Resin: Polyester · Vinyl Ester · Epoxy
FR on Request
Colours: Yellow, Green, Grey, Red, White, Blue + any RAL
Specification
Resin systems and fire performance
Resin system and fire retardant requirement must both be confirmed before manufacture. Standard non-fire retardant is supplied by default — fire retardant must be explicitly specified at enquiry.
Polyester
General Perpose
Most cost-effective. Standard specification for indoor and controlled environments. Suitable for solar, data centre, and general industrial applications.
Vinyl Ester
Chemical & marine resistance
Enhanced resistance to acids, alkalis, solvents, and salt air. Recommended for coastal, marine, chemical plant, oil & gas, and water treatment.
Epoxy
Highest performance
Maximum mechanical performance. Recommended where highest structural properties are required alongside chemical resistance.
Technical data
Mechanical & physical properties
Representative values from manufacturing QA testing to ASTM standards. Specific test data and certifications for your project available on request.
